Holidays, Life Christmas Scent On The Stove Top November 30, 2018

Recipe is located at the bottom of the page

This is something I started doing several years ago right after Thanksgiving and I love it! I love for my house to smell good all of the time (I think everyone does) but especially during the holidays. There is just something about having your house smell like Christmas that makes it especially warm and cozy.

There are a ton of stove top potpourri recipes on the internet and I look at them during the holiday season and am always making adjustments and adding new things to mine. I think tomorrow I might add a little piece of a pine branch to my recipe.

There is no particular order to add things or any certain amounts of things to use. It’s up to you and your preference of what you like. I always let the water come to a simmer and then add the cinnamon sticks and spices, I let them simmer for a few seconds and then add the cranberries.

Then I like to add the sliced apple and orange along with oils. This will keep your house smelling so good all day and evening, just keep it simmering and add water when necessary.
