Lemonade Palette by Dominique Cosmetics

I have been so excited waiting for the Lemonade Palette by Dominique Cosmetics to come out, because I absolutely love her Latte Palette! The colors in this palette are so pretty and you can do so many different things with them. The shimmer shades are beautiful by themselves but they are really great layered over one of the matte colors, which can give you a beautiful look. I went with yellow for the first look from this palette, I keep seeing yellow eyeshadow and thought it would be fun! The pigmentation in these colors is great just like it was in the Latte Palette they blend very easily and didn’t notice much fallout at all.

SOL de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream

I’m sure everyone has heard of this stuff and it is just as great as you’ve heard if you haven’t tried it! The smell is so good it makes me want to buy every product they have! No lie! It’s not just for your bum in case you were wondering, I have Ichthyosis Vulgaris which is a fancy word for extremely dry skin and the skin on my legs can look very scaly. I have probably tried every lotion and cream there is and my legs look better for an hour maybe two then they look scaly again. Aquaphor has helped and that is what I’ve depended on but I put it on my legs at night and then in the morning they look scaly again. I just decided one night to try this bum bum cream on my legs to see how good the cream really worked and the next morning my legs were not scaly looking, I honestly could not believe it! So if you need or just want a good moisturizer this is it!

Cover FX Correct Click Sticks

I love these little corrector sticks! I have been using the orange to neutralize the melasma on my face. I put the MAC lipstick beside the Click Stick for size comparison, they are small but it only takes a tiny amount to cover. The orange is offered in 3 shades for different skin tones peach for fair, orange for medium and brick-red for dark. They also have green to cover redness and lavender to brighten up any dullness.

Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder

Honestly, it has been a long time since I’ve tried Maybelline products, but I kept seeing this powder on so many beauty you tube channels and all of the beauty gurus that were using it absolutely loved it! One makeup artist said that is exactly like the $50 Chanel powder that she uses on her brides, she also said she will from now on buy this instead of the Chanel. Several other’s were comparing it to Laura Mercier’s translucent loose setting powder. I picked some up to try and it is definitely one of the best loose powders I have ever used. I got some for my youngest daughter not really knowing what to expect since she is very picky about makeup and she said “Mom that powder is so good!”, so if you are looking for a great powder you should try this one! It is not exactly translucent it has a slight tint to it, with shades like fair/light, light/medium, medium/dark I don’t think those are exact but it is very easy to pick your shade by looking at them because the color is just a tint in the translucent powder. Hope that makes sense!

Cover FX Illuminating Setting Powder

This is another setting powder I had seen some great reviews and videos on, most were for the Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder which gives you a matte finish, which most people prefer. I was having a very hard time with my very dry skin looking even drier by the time I covered my melasma so I decided to go with the Cover FX Illuminating Powder and it really did the job to help my face not look so extremely dry.

Coty Airspun Loose Translucent Powder

About 10 years ago this is the only powder I used, I loved it! Again, I started seeing it on beauty videos with great reviews and I remembered how much I loved it. It gives your face such a smooth finish, seems to blur any pores really set your foundation in place. This does have a pretty strong fragrance but they do have a fragrance free one if smell bothers you.

Kat Von D Lock It Foundation

As much as I love the Giorgio Armani Foundation and the way it feels and looks on my skin during the summer it just wasn’t covering my melasma. I looked at so many foundations that I wanted to try but I needed to go with one for dry skin that was water based so I went with Kat Von D Lock It Foundation. This is a very full coverage foundation so if you don’t need to “hide” anything you might not like how full coverage it is. I can use it and not have to keep packing stuff over the dark spots on my face until it just looks and fells terrible! I use a very good sunscreen on my face and wear a large brim hat any time I’m outside but if my face makes any contact with the sun even with sunscreen my melasma just gets so much darker, I’m really thinking about getting laser treatments for it this fall.

Too Faced Hangover RX Primer

So, I needed a water based primer for hydration, there were so many to choose from I just went with Too Faced and so far I really like it. I’ll give more of a review after I’ve used it a little more.
